A tangle of colourful houses climbing a hillside by a crystal-clear sea, surrounded by green hills, with artistic and historical evidence from Roman times, perfectly blended into a centre that is still inhabited today.

Non vi sarà difficile intuire perché Cervo sia stato incluso tra i Borghi più belli d'Italia.

You can start your visit from the top or the bottom of the hill, in either case you will immediately enter the medieval old town, which has remained unchanged for centuries and can only be visited on foot.

Walking through the narrow streets of the village, you will come to a large square, that of the Church of St John the Baptist, with its unique concave façade echoing the colours of the sea and a spectacular panorama.

Salendo ancora incontrerete il Castello dei Clavesana, del XVII secolo, conservato in ottime condizioni. Ora è sede del Museo Etnografico e di mostre d'arte durante il periodo estivo.

Ma Cervo è un anche Borgo attuale e pieno di vita. Ci sono numerosi bar o piccoli negozi e botteghe di artigiani, che vendono i loro prodotti realizzati a mano, come "la Boutique del Cuoio" proprio sotto la Piazza della chiesa di San Giovanni.

Stop for dinner in one of the many small restaurants in the village, after eating you will find the shops open and a perfect atmosphere to enjoy an evening stroll.

Spesso vengono inoltre organizzati diversi eventi e Festival, che acquistano un fascino tutto particolare in una cornice così meravigliosa.
